Q&A with Dr. King

Why should I see an endodontist vs. a general dentist?

Although general dentists can perform endodontic treatment, patients are often referred to an endodontist when the case is complicated or poses challenges. An endodontist is a dental specialist who has continued their education specifically in Endodontics. This means that root canal related treatments are what we do all day, every day. Dr. King specializes in all aspects of Endodontics, including conventional root canal therapy, root canal retreatments, cracked teeth, traumatic injuries, endodontic surgery, and diagnosing oral and facial pain. Dr. King implements the surgical microscope, CBCT (3D imaging technology), and other specialty tools to visualize details of the interior or exterior of your tooth. This allows your tooth to be treated with the greatest precision and thoroughness possible.

What’s the benefit of choosing a board-certified endodontist?

Only 20% of all endodontic specialists achieve the board certification status and earn the Diplomate status from the American Board of Endodontics. By choosing a board-certified endodontist, you can feel confident that you’re receiving the very best endodontic care from someone who has achieved the highest level of knowledge and skill possible.
